Army Chief confirms death sentences of nine terror convicts

Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) in a statement said that Gen Raheel Sharif has signed the orders of death sentences for nine terrorists involved in attacks on Parade Lane Mosque, ISI headquarters Multan and attacks on law enforcement agencies and the kidnapping and murder of civilians in Lahore.

Muhammad Ghauri, son of Javed Iqbal, Abdul Qayyum, son of Ameer Muhammad, Muhammad Imran, son of Abdul Manan, Aksan Mehboob, son of Asghar Ali, Adbul Rauf Gujjar, son of Rehmat Ali, Muhammad Hashim, son of Muhammad Abdullah, Sulaman, son of Boneer , Shafqat Farooqi, son of Malik Liaqat Ali and Muhammad Farhan, son of Muhammad Rafique will be awarded death sentences.

Military courts had awarded death sentences to the terrorists affiliated with various terrorist organizations and outlawed groups.

Terror convict Muhammad Ghauri was involved in attack on Parade Lane mosque, while Abdul Qayyum was involved in an attack on ISI headquarters in Multan and Imran attacked security agencies personnel.

Aksan Mehboob was an activist of al-Qaida, while Abdul Rauf Gujjar, Mohammad Hashim, Salman, Shafqat Farooqui and Farhan were operatives of an outlawed group, the ISPR statement added.
