Army Chief resolves to fight Modi, RAW attempts against CPEC

GILIGIT: Chief of Army Staff General Raheel Sharif has said vowed to break the nexus between terrorism and corruption for the development of the country.

He was addressing the CPEC Summit where he said that he knows that region really well, and there is no doubt that that people of Gilgit Baltistan were patriotic people.

“Whether it’s Modi or RAW or any other enemy, we know their moves really well,” he said. This is perhaps that  first direct reference to India interference in the country by the Army Chief.

He resolved to foil the efforts to sabotage the CPEC and said that the Army will work for the development of the country. He said that even the government of China was desirous for growth and development of the region.

He said that we are fighting the ‘war for survival’  whether the world understands or not, and the sacrifices of the armed forces should not be undermined. “I am confident that we are going in the right direction,” he said.
