Army vows strong action against terrorists’ regrouping

RAWALPINDI: The Corps Commander Conference on Wednesday vowed to stamp out terrorism and foil any chance for regrouping of terrorists, ARY News reported.

The meeting reiterated its resolve to continue operations in North Waziristan and Khyber Agency until complete elimination of terrorists.

The conference was chaired by Chief of Army Staff General Raheel Sharif. The meeting said terrorists would not be allowed to return to their sanctuaries and areas.

It said the terrorists will not be allowed any space in any part of the country.

Participants of the conference were given detailed briefing on overall security situation in the country with particular reference to progress of ongoing operation Zarb-e-Azb and Operation Khyber.

The COAS directed all concerned that no stone be left unturned to assist displaced persons during their stay and in their early return to their homes.

The army chief expressed complete satisfaction over progress made in the operations.
