Army’s special security division to guard Pak-China economic projects

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Army has constituted special division to provide security to all economic projects of Pakistan and China, ARY News reported Tuesday.

According to Director General Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) Major General Asim Salim Bajwa, the special security division comprising army battalions, CAF wings are being raised as dedicated force for Pak-China economic projects.

According to sources, the decision to this effect was taken by President Mamnoon Hussain during his interaction with Chinese President Xi Jinping on Tuesday.

It is learnt that a total of 10,000 army troops have been dedicated to this purpose.

The Chinese president during talks with Pakistani leadership had raised the issue of security for the Chinese professionals working in Pakistan. President Mamnoon later assured the Chinese leader that special security will be provided to their workers in Pakistan.
