Asian Beach Games: Pakistan beat India to clinch gold in Kabaddi

DANANG: Pakistan’s medal tally in 2016 Asian Beach Games rose to eight as the country beat arch-rivals India to clinch the gold medal in Kabaddi, ARY News reported.

The green team defeated India by just two points. Pakistan secured 30 points whereas India scored 28 points.

Pakistan qualified for the final after beating South Korea in the semi-final of this year’s Asian beach games.

Pakistan is also expected to take part in this year’s Kabaddi World Cup in India which starts on October 7. The Pakistani players are awaiting visa for traveling to the neighboring countries.

Twelve teams namely hosts India, Pakistan, United States, Australia, Canada, Poland, United Kingdom, Japan, South Korea, Iran, Kenya and Bangladesh will be participating in the event.
