Asian Games 2014: Pakistan lost to India in the final

INCHEON: Pakistan’s men hockey team lost to India at penalty shoot-outs by 4-2 in the final of Asian Games 2014, ARY News reported.

Green Shirts took the lead in the third minute of the play when Rizwan Mohammad scored the goal. Pakistan completely dominated the first quarter displaying better techniques in offence as we as in defense.

India equalized the score on the 12 minute of second quarter when Kothajit Khadangbam stuck his stick out and deflected the ball inside the net.

Score remained level 1-1 till the end of fourth quarter. Both the teams tried their level best to score but couldn’t able to post the decisive goal.

At penalty shoot-out India scored four goals while Pakistan managed only two.

With the victory India has earned a direct entry to Rio de Janeiro Olympics in 2016.
