KUANTAN: Pakistan qualified for the semi-finals of the Asian Hockey Champions Trophy 2016 after beating China 4-0 in an encounter on Thursday, ARY News reported on Friday.
Pakistan started poorly in the match of the Champions Trophy at Kuantan in Malaysia and could not manage to score in the first quarter of the game.
The green shirts put a better performance in the second quarter as Abdul Haseem Khan provided the breakthrough for Pakistan as they scored a goal via penalty corner.
Pakistan once again netted the ball but the goal was rejected after a review taken by the Chinese side.
The side continued to play aggressively in the third quarter of the match as Khan netted his second goal of the match.
Ali Shan made it 3-0 for Pakistan at the end of the third quarter whereas Irfan Ali scored the fourth goal for the side.
