Khawaja Asif advises opposition to act responsibly

Replying to the opposition criticism on Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, he said those who are questioning the prime minister over Panama Papers are not clean themselves.

He said that if taxpayers’ money should not be misused so does charity for Shaukat Khanum hospital.

The federal minister criticized PTI chief saying that those whom he abused during the sit-in days in Islamabad, including Syed Khurshid Shah, are now standing with him.

Asif criticized Imran Khan’s explanation about owning an offshore company in 80s. He said the offshore companies, whether in Panama, Virgin Islands or New Jersey, all are wrong.

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Chairman does not draw line between raising funds for his political party and the hospital. He also raised questions about the fund raised by Imran Khan for building houses for the 2010 flood victims. Where those funds were utilized, he asked.

The federal minister said that the government and the opposition both have an opportunity to establish a mechanism fthat makes everyone accountable. He urged the opposition to act responsibly to avoid national institutions. He warned that the political bickering will offer an opportunity to a third force.
