Mazari, rejecting the defence minister’s ‘unconditional apology’ which he tendered to the house yesterday for his remarks said, “Khawaja Asif’s choice of offensive words against her in front of all the parliamentarians has maligned my reputation which is not acceptable at all.”
Khawaja Asif came under fire on Wednesday by opposition lawmakers in the National Assembly for referring to Shireen Mazari as a ‘tractor trolley’ after she along with other opposition leaders refused to halt her protest following Asif’s brief on the state of loadshedding in Ramazan.
Asif realised his mistake a day after and tendered an ‘unconditional apology to the house’ on Thursday without addressing the PTI MNA or any other parliamentarian by name in the apology letter.
Asif also tweeted a copy of his apology:

Speaking in the assembly session today, Mazari said she would only accept Asif’s apology if he apologise to her in front of the house by name just like he targeted and attacked her by name.
Khawaja Asif has already clarified yesterday that he would not name Mazari in his apology as he had named no one when he made the remarks.
