Imran terms Asif's statement on Indian boat 'insufficient'

ISLAMABAD: Chairman of Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI), Imran Khan Thursday said the statement of Defense Minister Khwaja Asif, after the admission of a fake encounter by Indian coast guards, is insufficient, ARY News reported.

In a statement issued today, Imran Khan strongly condemned the incident and slammed India for violating international laws due to its war-mania.

He said that the incident of destroying a Pakistani boat without any warning shows India’s hostile ambitions towards Pakistan.

The PTI chief said that in reaction to the incident, the statement of Pakistan’s defense minister is insufficient.

Criticizing further, he said that the Indian authorities declared innocent fishermen ‘terrorists’, only to cover-up their ‘illegal attack’ on the boat and now they are speaking lies one after another.

Moreover, Khan demanded the government to carry out immediate and transparent probe into the event.
