ASWJ men among five killed in Karachi

KARACHI: Firing and other violent incidents killed five people in Karachi including a senior Ahlesunnat Wal Jamaat (ASWJ) leader, ARY News reported.

ASWJ central leader Doctor Fayyaz and one of his companions Muhammad Arif were killed in a gun attack on Paracha Chowk of Shershah area in the port city.

ASWJ leader Taj Muhammad Hanfi claimed that Fayyaz was not allowed to keep private guards and was stripped of government security a month ago.

A citizen was killed while 3 others were injured in a firing incident on a restaurant in Bahadurabad.

Another person lost life in a gun attack near Chhota Maidan in Nazimabad area.

A DSP was attacked with a cracker bomb in Nazimabad. Fortunately, the bomb did not explode.

Later the Bomb Disposal squad defused the bomb.
