Eight men gunned down in Quetta ‘sectarian’ attack

QUETTA: At least eight people were killed in gunmen attack on a bus in the provincial capital of Balochistan in wee hours of Thursday, ARY News reported.

Unidentified armed men intercepted a bus near Hazar Ganji, Sabzi Mandi and opened indiscriminate fire, resulting deaths of six people on the spot. Three people also sustained injuries in the incident.

The victims were aboard a bus, which was going out of Quetta when it came under attack.

Rescue and law enforcement officials reached the spot and helped shifting the injured to Bolan Medical Complex. Police and FC cordoned off the area after the incident.

Sources told that those killed in the attacked belonged to the Hazara community. However, police have not given any official word on the killings.

Hazara Democratic Party has announced 3-day mourning in the province.
