ATC accepts Musharraf's exemption plea in Akbar Bugti Case

QUETTA: Anti-Terrorism Court Quetta on Wednesday accepted former President Pervez Mushrraf’s plea for exemption from appearing before the court in Akbar Bugti murder case, ARY News reported.

Defence lawyer of Pervez Musharraf pleaded to the court to proceed hearing without presence of Musharraf. The court granted exemption to Musharraf for today and reserved the verdict on plea for exemption.

The court adjourned the hearing of the case till December 17.

Later, talking to media Aftab Ahmed Sherpao, a co-accused in the case, said that the court will announce decision on arguments on March 17.

Meanwhile, defence lawyer of Musharraf said that no one is above the law but former president Musharraf  could not  appear before the court without appropriate security arrangements.
