The workers have at least 50 cases registered against them. All the indicted workers were arrested during Rangers raid from MQM headquarters Nine Zero on March 11, 2015.

The workers include Faisal alias Mota, Ubaid alias K2 and Amir aka Sar Phatta.

The ATC has summoned witnesses in the next hearing. During the raid, a heavy contingent of Rangers cordoned off the area and searched through departments of the party’s offices.

MQM chief Altaf Hussain had alleged Rangers of bringing illegal weapons along at the raid site.

A huge number of MQM workers gathered in front of Nine-Zero soon after the search operation commenced. Slogans were also chanted against the law enforcement agencies.

Rangers Spokesman Colonel Tahir, while talking to the media after the raid, said arms and ammunition stolen from NATO containers were recovered during the search operation. He had said that during the course of the search operation, weapons whose import had been banned in the country were recovered from the Nine-Zero premises.
