ATC indicts 46 suspects in Model Town firing case

LAHORE: An anti-terrorism court on Saturday indicted 46 suspects including Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) workers in Model Town firing case in which at least 14 people were killed and over 90 injured, ARY News reported.

Those indicted by the court include former SHO of Faisal Town police station Amir Saleem, Assistant Sub-Inspector Azhar Mahmood and constable Naveed.

All the suspects pleaded not guilty in the case.

The court framed charges against the suspects after case challan was produced during the hearing.

PAT leaders Dr Tahirul Qadri, his sons Hasan Mohiyuddin and Husain Mohiyuddin, while Raheeq Abbasi, Khurram Nawaz Gandapur, Sheikh Fayaz and Shabbir Fayaz have been declared proclaimed offenders.
