ATC issues non-bailable arrest warrants for Musharraf

The ATC announced the verdict in the wake of request from former president’s counsel regarding one day exemption from court appearance on medical grounds. The ATC-II Judge Sohail Akram announced the verdict.

The court had asked Musharraf’s counsel to produce his medical report but he failed to furnish it.

The court also ordered police to arrest the former president and produce him in the court on October 1.

Mr. musharraf is facing legal for his move to detain over 55 judges, including the former chief justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry. The judges were detained after proclamation of a state of emergency in the country.
