ATCs to conduct daily hearings of terrorism cases

A session presided by Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Nasir-ul-Mulk and attended by chief justices of all five high courts of Pakistan, administrative judges of ATCs  directed ATC Judges to hear terrorism cases on daily basis and order the parties to attend the hearing to clear out a pending backlog.

It was decided that the administrative judges of ATCs will organize monthly sessions to review the performance of such courts.

The session also advised provincial governments to coordinate with the chief justice of their respective high courts in order to move anti-terrorism courts to safer locations.

CJP while addressing the session said that Peshawar attack is a national disaster adding that the whole judiciary stands with the victims and nation in this hour of grief.
