India beats Australia by 27 runs in second T20 to clinch series

MELBOURNE: India beat Australia by 27 runs in the second Twenty20 International at the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG), ARY News reported.

The visitors won the three-match series 2-0.

Australia won the toss and invited India to bat first. The men-in-blue scored 184/3 in their 20 overs.

Rohit Sharma scored 60 runs from 47 balls with the help of five boundaries and two sixes while Virat Kohli remained unbeaten on 59 runs with seven fours and a six to his name.

Shikhar Dhawan scored 42 runs from 32 balls with three boundaries and two maximums.

Andrew Tye and Glenn Maxwell took a wicket each for Australia.

In reply, Australia managed 157/8 in their 20 overs with Aaron Finch being the top scorer with 74 runs from 48 balls with eight fours and two sixes.

Shaun Marsh scored 23 runs from 23 balls after scoring two fours.

Jasprit Bumrah and Ravindra Jadeja grabbed two wickets each while Ravi Ashwin, Hardik Pandya and Yuvraj Singh dismissed one batsman each as well.
