Authorities file charges against woman over misusing emergency number

MACON, GEORGIA: Authorities have charged a woman in Georgia over misusing their emergency number, ARY News reports.

According to a foreign news agency, 41 year-old-Toshiba Smith called 911 around 150 times since June this year.

Sheriff’s report stated that Smith dialed the emergency number claiming that her neighboring use spying on her through a device.

The report also mentioned that police officers were showing up at the woman’s residence back to back due to the number of calls she was making.

The authorities had warned her of being arrested if she didn’t stop making the phone calls.

She was released on bail earlier this week and a phone number listed in her name was disconnected as well.
