Avoid political debates, Ahsan advises Musharraf

ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for Planning and Development Ahsan Iqbal on Saturday advised former President Pervez Musharraf to avoid giving political statements, ARY News reported.

Addressing the prize distribution ceremony of Apa Nisar Fatima School in Lahore, Ahsan Iqbal has advised Pervez Musharraf to ask forgiveness from Almighty Allah for his wrongdoings rather conducting political debates.

The Minister said the PML-N was first to file a case for violation of constitution. He said now courts have to decide the fate of Pervez Musharraf.

Talking about rigging allegations in the general elections, he said investigation of judicial commission will bring facts in front of the people.

Replying to a question, Ahsan Iqbal said criticism over Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI) on their return to the parliament by fellow members was their own viewpoint not party’s policy.

Ahsan Iqbal said military and civil leadership are on same page in the war against terrorism. He stressed that terrorism can only be wiped out with combined efforts.
