LAHORE: Ayesha Mumtaz, Director Punjab Food Authority, has been removed from her job after a reported tussle with other higher officials.
According to ARY New correspondent Hassan Hafeez , the newly appointed director had also expressed serious reservations about Mumtaz, who had allegedly used foul language during a raid at certain eateries.
The authority and other officials had also made several complaints to the Punjab Chief Minister. Consequently, Mumtaz had submitted an application five days ago for extended leave for 104 days.
Mumtaz had received fame for her raids on eateries over unhygienic conditions and substandard material across Punjab, and her incorruptible attitude.
