The court directed authorities to submit the challan against Ayyan as soon as possible and after extending her judicial remand, summoned the supermodel on 15th June.
Rawalpindi Customs Court judge Rana Aftab Ahmad directed the customs investigation officer to submit a complete challan against Ayyan Ali in the next proceeding. The judge also delayed the proceedings for bail request filed by the defendant till tomorrow. The supermodel looked visibly upset and stressed, when she was brought to the customs court from Adiala Jail. Hearing of the cases pertaining to the registration of currency smuggling case and money laundering has been postponed by the court till 15th June.
When custom authorities presented a challan against Ayyan Ali in court, the defendants lawyers deemed it as incomplete, hence the court ordered the relevant custom authorities to issue a complete challan by the next proceedings.
Ayyan Ali’s case has grabbed national attention ever since the supermodel was arrested at Benazir International Airport in Islamabad for carrying more than $500,000, and was about to board a Dubai-bound flight.
