Azhar Ali unveils 2016 World T20 trophy

PESHAWAR: The trophy unveiling ceremony of 2016 World Twenty20 was held at Peshawar’s Army Public School (APS), ARY News reported.

Pakistan’s one day captain Azhar Ali unveiled the trophy along with the children of Army Public School.

Pakistan’s one day captain said that the team will win the tournament and dedicate the trophy to the victims of APS attack.

At least 152 people, most of them school children, were killed when Taliban militants attacked the educational facility on 16th December, 2014

“I am proud to be standing alongside these brave children”, Ali said.

The trophy will be in Pakistan for two day. It will be sent to Lahore on Tuesday where it will be displayed at Gaddafi Stadium.

The 2016 World T20 will be contested in India in March. The green shirts will launch their campaign against a qualifying team on 16th March.
