Baby Doll singer Konika Kapoor records new song

TOP NEWS

She has the whole world (well, mostly South Asia) grooving to her catchy, upbeat singles such as ‘Baby Doll’, ‘Lovely’ and the recent ‘Chittiyan Kallaiyaan’. Sunny Leone, Deepika Padukone and Jaqueline Fernandez have danced to her voice, so it seems fair to say that she’s on a roll. Konika Kapoor recently disclosed the fact that she has recorded an all new track titled ‘Heroes’.

So what’s so special about this new song? It is backed by leading sports channel Ten Sports and will egg on the Indian cricket team during ICC Cricket World Cup 2015. Here’s what Konika had to say about the song and her delight to be included in the project.

“I’m thrilled to be a part of this exciting ‘sporting’ project! It’s unlike anything I’ve done before and in India it can’t get any bigger than the sport of `cricket’ besides the fact that it’s backed by a leading sports network – Ten Sports. I’m extremely grateful to Universal Music for giving me this opportunity as I eagerly look forward to my fan’s reactions to this song and video created for the sport we all love so much – Cricket!”, exclaimed Konika.

“We decided to do a Hindi version of ‘We Could Be Heroes’ by Alesso. We gave it a try and it has come out really nice. It was a great experience recording this fun sing-along. I’m sure everyone will like it”, she added. Alesso is a Grammy nominated Swedish DJ/producer.
