The cricketer-turned-politician broke the news on Twitter via a tweet, stating that he won’t be able to make it to Bannu as his flight had been cancelled on account of bad weather.
Because of the weather our flight to Bannu has been cancelled. Sadly we will not be able to celebrate Eid with the IDPs.

Imran Khan had earlier stated that he would spend this Eid with the Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) since they had rendered sacrifices for Pakistan.
InshaAllah we will celebrate Eid with the IDPs in Bannu today. Pakistan can never forget their sacrifices for the nation.

It is also pertinent to mention that Imran’s wife Reham is currently in Bannu to celebrate Eid with IDPs. Pakistan Army’s raging conflict with militants over the years have caused sufferings to those residing in the conflict areas. The military operation against militants have forced people to leave their homes for safer areas.
