Bahauddin Zakariya University shut for two days due to inadequate security

MULTAN: Educational activities in Bahauddin Zakariya University were suspended for two days, as several educationed institutes in Punjab were sealed for having inadequate security.

According to details, a search operation was also conducted within the confines of the Bahauddin Zakariya University. The search operation was conducted inside Bahauddin Zakariya University’s hostel in Multan. The university has been shut down for two days due to inadequate security arrangements.

Several educational institutes across Punjab have been sealed owing to inadequate security arrangements.  Pakistan’s security forces have been alerted following an attack on the Bacha Khan University in Charsadda, which claimed the lives of more than 20 people and injured as many as 60. Militants who were suspected of carrying out the terrorist attack said who had claimed responsibility for the attack, said they would target more educational institutes within the country.

Pakistan was struck by a tragic event before the Charsadda attack, when in December 2014 armed militants stormed the Army Public School and massacred more than 100 schoolchildren.
