ISLAMABAD: Foreign Minister of Bahrain Shaikh Khalid Bin Ahmad Al Khalifa called on Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif in Islamabad on Monday, ARY News reported.
A high-level delegation headed by Bahrain’s Foreign Minister met the prime minister of Pakistan and discussed regional issues and other issues of mutual interest.
Bahrain Foreign Minister conveyed a message of King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa to Nawaz Sharif. The minister observed that the bilateral ties between the two countries are rapidly expanding.
According to Radio Pakistan, the first session of Pakistan-Bahrain Joint Ministerial Commission will be held in Islamabad today. The officials will discuss in the meeting to expand diplomatic, economic, trade, strategic and cultural ties.
Earlier, Pakistani officials welcomed the Bahrain delegation of officials on their arrival at Islamabad Airport.
Adviser to Prime Minister on Foreign Affairs Sartaj Aziz met Shaikh Khalid Bin Ahmad Al Khalifa. Bahrain’s foreign minister lauded Pakistan’s success against terrorism.
