Band master appointed security head at Punjab CM house

LAHORE: In a surprising move, a Lahore police band master Abdul Majeed has been given charge of the security supervisor of Punjab’s Chief Minister House, ARY News reported on Tuesday.

According to a report by ARY News reporter Zulqarnain Sheikh, a guy serving as police band master has been appointed as security chief of the CM House.

Majeed was recruited specially for police band and was effectively doing his duty for last 36 years when he supposedly pleased some high officials of Lahore police to get charge as the security head of the sensitive CM House.

Abdul Majeed was recruited in police as a constable in 1978 and rose to the position of band master in 2008.

The band master will be leading commandos and other forces personnel at the all-important and sensitive establishment.
