Gangsters killed, several arrested in Karachi

KARACHI: Police and Rangers personnel have arrested a total number of 20 suspected criminals in a number of targeted raids in Karachi on Wednesday, ARY News reported.

According to details, the law enforcement personnel as a part of their anti-terror drive in the city nabbed 20 suspects belonging to banned outfits and Lyari gang warfare.

Rangers spokesperson claimed that Rangers arrested 15 criminals during targeted operations in Kemari, Qasba Colony, Machar Colony and University Road. The arrested criminals include those belonging to Lyari gang war and banned outfit criminals.

Arshad Pappu men killed

Three gang war members were killed in an alleged Rangers encounter in Lyari’s Chakiwara locality.

The dead criminals were identified as Jamal, Riaz and Basheer alias Bhagwan. All three belong to the ‘Arshad Pappu’ group of Lyari gang war.

Two more terrorists namely Qadeer and Shakeel were killed during a targeted operation in Jahanabad area.

Police raids

On the other hand, police personnel launched a search operation in Bihar Colony and Singo Lane localities of Lyari area and nabbed five criminals. Firearms, drugs and a large amount of gutka was recovered from their custody.

Rangers and police have intensified operation in Karachi arresting several target killers, extortionists, kidnappers along with other criminals.

Three terrorists were taken into custody fro Manghopir area while police nabbed eight criminals including four banned outfit militants and two target killers.

Firearms and a hand grenade were recovered from the terrorists.
