According to details, the PPP has completed preparations for Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari’s address today at Bagh and the stage has also been prepared. The PPP chairman is likely to discuss the recent controversies surrounding the Panama leaks in his speech today. PPP and other political parties have united and repeatedly demanded Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif’s resignation
Ever since the Panama papers depicting offshore wealth of Maryam, Hassan and Hussain Nawaz were leaked, the Sharifs and the federal government have been on the back foot. Opposition parties have united and called for the Prime Minister to hold himself accountable before a judicial commission.
A couple of days ago, Bilawal Bhutto asked Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif to step down just like he had asked PPP’s Yousuf Raza Gillani to do the same a couple of years ago. PTI chief Imran Khan has threatened to stage a sit-in protest outside the Sharifs’ Raiwind residence if a judicial commission was not formed based on the terms of reference suggested by all opposition parties.
It is pertinent to mention here that the government has rejected the terms of reference proposed by opposition parties.
