Bilawal hints Watto’s replacement as PPP Punjab president

LAHORE: Chairman of Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has hinted at replacing Manzoor Watto from the post of PPP Punjab chapter president, ARY News reported.

According to details, Bilawal Bhutto presided first party meeting of PPP Punjab chapter with regard to forthcoming local body (LB) elections in the province.

Differences within the party ranks came in open in the very first meeting and the PPP officials from several districts burst out in front of the party chairman.

PPP members including Raja Riaz said that Watto as provincial head is causing enough damage to the party and demanded his replacement.

The PPP chairman rejected the demands to immediately replace Manzoor Watto, however he hinted his substitution in near future.

He said a decision will be made through collective opinion after consultation with rest of the district heads.

Bilawal concluded that some tough decisions will have to be taken in order to strengthen the PPP in Punjab.
