Bilawal rules out Nawaz-Zardari meeting in London

KARACHI: Chairman of Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) on Friday ruled out a meeting between former president Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif in London, while Qamar Zaman Kaira said that if held the meeting would not be centered around politics, ARY News reported.

Political circles are abuzz with Nawaz-Zardari meeting in London since the Pakistan premier departed to London on account of health issues. The speculations heightened when the ex-president checked into a hotel near PM Sharif’s flat on Thursday.

But with Bilawal denying the possibility of a meet-up between the leaders it seems the distances have not yet shrunk between the two major political parties of the country.

Meanwhile, Qamar Zaman Kaira also commented that there is no chance of a political meeting between the two leaders. His emphasis was on word ‘political’.

He, however, referred to Nawaz Sharif as ‘our prime minister’ and prayed for his early recovery.

The PPP leader also hinted at reconciliation with the government in case the PPP’s demands are met.
