MQM takes notice of Bilawal’s diatribe, calls emergency meeting

KARACHI: While taking serious notice of the statement of PPP chairperson Bilawal Bhutto Zardari against the MQM, the Mutahidda Qaumi Movement has called an emergency meeting in London and Karachi to discuss the barbs, ARY News reported.

The meeting will review the statement of Bilawal. Key decisions will be taken in view of the PPP chairperson’s statement.

Talking to ARY News, senior MQM leader Haider Abbas Rizvi said MQM workers were strongly concerned over the statement of Bilawal.

Bilawal, in his address to PPP workers earlier in a day, named MQM chief Altaf Hussain to rein in his ‘Namaloom Afraad’ ahead of the PPP rally on October 18. Bilawal warned of not letting MQM leaders sit comfortably if even a single PPP worker was hurt on Oct 18.

Rizvi said when gang-war elements are present in London who are involved in ‘slaughtering’ MQM workers in Karachi is also a concern for his party.

Rizivi said MQM will review all legal aspects of the statement made by Bilawal.
