Bomb kills military man in Peshawar

PESHAWAR: A Pakistan Army soldier was killed in a remote controlled bomb explosion at Peshawar’s Warsak Road on Friday, ARY News reports.

Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), in a statement, said that the slain and wounded persons belong to Pakistan Army.

A soldier was killed and another injured when a vehicle of Pakistan Army was targeted by remote controlled device, which was planted in a motorcycle.

Police arrived at the scene and started collecting evidence from the blast site.

SSP Operations Peshawar Najeeb-ur-Rehman said that four kilograms of explosives were used in the attack.

He further said that terrorists have resorted to such cowardly acts as their backs are broken after the successful military operation in North Waziristan tribal region.

It is of no surprise that security forces are constantly being targeted by militants and terrorist organization since the past couple of years.
