LONDON: A two-year-old boy died after being run over by his mother as she drove out of the family’s garage.
Tot Brogan Fenton died from head injuries less than an hour after being accidentally struck by his mum who was on her way to collect his five-year-old brother from school.
It is believed child’s mother Edan Cakmak fell out of the car and she accidentally reversed over him.
He was taken to hospital after the accident in St Mark Street, Shettleston, Glasgow, but died a short while later.
The child was a pupil at Wellshot Primary School.
Jennifer McCluskey, the head teacher of Wellshot Primary school said: “The school is devastated by this tragic news and our thoughts are with the family at this sad time.
“Support is being offered to staff and children at the school.”
A Strathclyde Police spokeswoman said: “About 9am on Tuesday November 16 a six-year-old boy was struck by a vehicle in St Mark Street in the Shettleston area of Glasgow.
“He was taken by ambulance to the Royal Infirmary, but died a short time later.
