14-year-old dies in tragic road crash

MULTAN: A speeding bus collided with a motorcycle, killing a fourteen year-old boy after which angry protesters torched the vehicle, ARY News reported.

According to details, an accident took place at the Bosan road in Multan when a private university’s bus crushed a young man to his death. The boy was on a motorbike when the bus collision occurred, proving to be fatal for him. Relatives of the deceased and residents of the area took to the streets and torched tyres to block the road. Enraged protesters also set fire to the bus and blocked the road. Police reached the scene of the incident and tried to pacify the angry protesters.

A heavy contingent of police and rescue officials reached the scene of the accident and put out the fire. The boy, who had been severely wounded at first, had been transferred to a nearby hospital where he had succumbed to his wounds.

Bosan road, which had been blocked due to the protest, was partially opened by police. Police officials ensured relatives of the deceased and other protesters that proper legal action will be taken against the driver. The driver had fled from the scene after the accident.
