The three-member committee will be headed by Provincial Minister of Food, Bilal Yasin. The Punjab government in a statement said that cabinet committee has been formed to ensure provision of day-to-day commodities to people in Ramazan at cheaper rates.
The chief minister directed the committee to ensure full-fledged implementation of the Ramazan Package announced by the government, and to seek report from members of the Punjab Assembly, parliamentary secretaries and senior bureaucrats on daily basis.
Earlier while addressing senior health officials through a video-link from London, the CM directed for charging the Drugs Regulatory Authority to prevent sale of fake medicines. He said the government cannot allow it and will go to any length for putting an end to such rackets.
