In a statement, the former President of Pakistan sarcastically said that Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif had provided him with the first gift of 2016 and for that, he was thankful to him. He also said that during the past year, a case had also been registered against Dr Asim, which was also a ‘gift’.
Zardari said that till now, nothing had been proven in the registered cases. Addressing the Prime Minister, he said that PPP had braved hardships and cruelties in the past and would continue to do so. The only regret was that Nawaz Sharif hadn’t learned any lesson from the past, he said.
Asif Zardari said those who had tried to achieve anything by harming the PPP before had neither succeeded then nor would they be successful now.
