Case registered against 10 MQM leaders for taking out protest rally

Police registered a case against the Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM) for taking out a rally without permission, using loudspeakers and blocking the main route of the city.

Police registered the case in Soldier Bazaar police station against ten MQM leaders and fifteen-hundred unidentified persons. These included Farooq Sattar, Wasim Akhtar, Haider Abbas Rizvi, Wasay Jalil, Faisal Sabzwari, Kanwar Naveed Jamil, Muhammad Hussain, Nasreen Jalil, Kamal Pasha and Khalid have been nominated in the case.

Provisions related to rallying the people, using loudspeakers and blocking the main road have been included in the case. ARY News has obtained a copy of the FIR.

MQM

Meanwhile on the other hand, MQM leader Wasay Jalil tweeted in response that the Sindh government has ‘gone crazy’ for lodging an FIR against him on violation of section 144, while he was in London.

MQM had made the decision for a protest rally was taken at a joint meeting of Rabita Committee of London and Karachi. The paramilitary force personnel had rounded up at least seven persons on MQM office in F.C. area Liaquatabad on late Wednesday.

Earlier, MQM leader Farooq Sattar had a telelphonic conversation with DG Rangers Sindh in which Sattar assured him of cooperation. DG Rangers had also said those found innocent would be released after investigation.
