Case registered against MQM’s Wasim Akhtar for incitement to violence

KARACHI: Police on Friday night registered a case against former SIndh Home Minister Wasim Akhtar, for inciting the public to violence.

This was the second case registered against Wasim Akhtar, for inciting the public to violence and harming the national interests of the country.

On the request of an ordinary citizen, a case was registered against the MQM representative at the SITE Super Highway Industrial Area police station in which it was included that he had incited the public to violence, harmed the national interests of the country and also included the provisions of terrorism as well.

In the complaint it was also alleged that Wasim Akhtar was spreading anarchy through his statements. Another case was also registered against Wasim Akhtar in the Sohrab Goth police station, on a citizen’s request, in which provisions of the Counter-Terrorism Act and Telegraph Act were included.  The plaintiff had stated that Wasim Akhtar’s criticism of the country’s intelligence agencies had hurt the sentiments of the nation.

In another separate news related to Karachi, it was decided to place notorious criminal Raees Mama’s name on the Exit Control List (ECL), in a move to bar him from leaving the country.
