Two BDS officials killed in bomb blast on Quetta’s Sariab Road

QUETTA: Two Bomb Disposal Squad (BDS) officials were killed while they were trying to dispose a bomb on Sariab Road in Balochistan’s Quetta city on Monday, rescue sources told ARY News.

According to ARY News correspondent, the BDS officers were informed regarding a bomb near overhead bridge on Quetta’s Sariab Road. The squad’s officers reached the spot and were trying to dispose the bomb when the blast occurred, killing the officers while injuring 8 others.

The bomb weighed 20 kilogrammes, and had been planted beneath the Sariab Road’s ovherhead bridge. The injured were moved to Civil Hospital Quetta.
