CEO ARY Network, Salman Iqbal bestowed with Lord Mayor’s Award in UK

LONDON/KARACHI: The Founder and CEO of ARY Digital Network, Mr. Salman Iqbal, continues to receive appreciation from not just within the country but abroad as well for his immense contributions to Pakistan, news media and cricket.

Lord Mayor of Sheffield, Talib Hussain, and Mayor of Lancashire Borough Council Oldham, Ateeq ur Rehman, bestowed Mr. Iqbal with the Lord Mayor’s Award in recognition of his role in the realm of news media and his valuable services for free press and for the promotion of cricket.

Mayor Ateeq ur Rehman said that the Founder and CEO of ARY Digital Network not just expanded media, but he played a key role in promoting cricket through Pakistan Super League (PSL).

On the occasion, Mr. Salman Iqbal’s profound services for Pakistan and efforts of ARY Network’s entire team for the coverage of events worldwide were highly appreciated.


The Founder and CEO of ARY Digital Network, Mr. Salman Iqbal is also ranked among the world’s most influential Muslim figures.

The Muslim 500, an annual publication compiled by the Royal Islamic Strategic Studies Centre in Amman, Jordan, ranks Mr. Iqbal among the most distinguished Muslims from around the globe.

“Mr. Salman Iqbal owns the largest media network in Pakistan called ARY Digital Network available in Pakistan, the Middle East, Europe, North America, and many other regions of the world,” stated the website in October, 2015.

“He is recognized as a voice of independent media in Pakistan and one of the most powerful and influential media personalities in the Muslim World.”
