Charged PML-N, PTI activists square off in Faisalabad

FAISALABAD: The charged activists of Pakistan Muslim League – Nawaz (PML-N) and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) faced off each other at Clock Tower Intersection here in Faisalabad, leading to a tense situation, ARY News reports.

It should be noted that PTI Chairman Imran Khan had announced a shutdown in the city on Monday (tomorrow).

PTI supporters gathered in the area on Sunday afternoon and started chanted “Go Nawaz Go” slogans against PML-N and its leadership.

Incensed N-League activists also reached the spot and started chanting “Ro Imran Ro” in response to the PTI slogans.

The faced off against each other and the situation is reportedly intense in the area. PML-N activists pelted eggs and tomatoes at the PTI workers.

Further contingents of law enforcing agencies have been called to control the law and order situation.
