Charsadda attack: New video shows how terrorists climbed walls and opened gunfire

CHARSADDA: A new video of the ghastly attack on Bacha Khan University in Charsadda on January 20, 2016 surfaced, ARY News reported.

In the new video, terrorists can be seen entering the university premises by climbing walls. Militants can also be seen opening fire in the university’s canteen, hostel and guest house. The Bacha Khan University attacked claimed the lives of 21 people and injured 60 people. Militants had stormed the Bacha Khan University in Charsadda on January 20, where a mushaira was being held since it was Bacha Khan’s 28th death anniversary.

A fierce gun battle took place between security officials and militants. Four militants were killed, only after they had massacred more than a dozen people and injured many more. Khalifa Umar Mansoor’s faction of the Taliban claimed responsibility for the attack and said they would target more educational institutes throughout the country.

DG ISPR General Asim Bajwa had held a press conference and for the first time, showed faces of the facilitators of the Bacha Khan University attack to the media.
