The main function of the Chehlum was held at Chief Minister House Peshawar.
Addressing the function, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf chairman Imran Khan paid tributes to the sacrifices of the martyrs and said the nation feels proud of them. He expressed solidarity with the bereaved families.
Chief Minister Pervez Khattak announced to fulfill his pledges made with parents. He enhanced package for the heirs of the martyrs from Rs 0.5 million to 2 million.
Quran Khawani was held for the departed souls of the martyrs.
Meanwhile, Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has expressed sympathy with the parents of children martyred in Peshawar tragedy and reiterated that they will always remember these innocent shuhada.
In a message on the Chehlum of shuhada of Peshawar terrorist incident, the Prime Minister vowed that the sacrifices of martyrs will not go in vain. He said they have achieved considerable successes in the war against terrorism and will root out this menace from the country.
