Asadullah, a resident of Shalimar, killed his son Muhammad Ahmed allegedly on the advice of his second wife. Afterwards, he lodged a complaint about his kidnapping after which police started investigation.
Police interrogated the father after raising suspicion who confessed to the murder and said his son was from his first wife and use to annoy them as he grew old.
He said that he threw the body of the child in a stream. He was taken into custody while the search for the body of the victim is currently underway.
