Chinese president arrives in Pakistan on April 20

Foreign Office Spokesperson Tasnim Aslam made this announcement during her weekly news briefing in Islamabad on Thursday.

She said important agreements in various fields will be signed during the visit.

Sources informed that the Chinese president will arrive with a 60-member delegation. He will address the joint session of parliament during his visit.

The government has ordered stringent security measures ahead of the arrival of China’s Xi Jinping.

China has offered Pakistan to convert Parliament’s power into solar energy. The project will be completed by September 2015.

The visit of Chinese President Xi Jinping to the country was cancelled due to protests in Islamabad in last September led by Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf and Pakistan Awami Tehreek. The announcement of the cancellation of the visit was officially made on September 4.
