CII member seeks protection of ‘men’s rights’

ISLAMABAD: Council of Islamic Ideology (CII) on Friday received a petition seeking approval of protection of men’s rights bill, ARY News reported.

The application was submitted by CII member Sahibzada Zahid Mehmood Qasmi, who wrote that since men’s rights were also being violated in the society, so men’s protection bill should also be approved alongside women’s protection bill.

“Some women in Pakistan also torture men and even throw them out of the house, like women, men also have rights which this society is ignoring,” reads the letter written by Qasmi.

CII chairman Maulana Mohammad Khan Sherani has accepted the request to be discussed in the next meeting of the council.
