CL T20: Lahore Lions set target of 152

HYDERABAD: Lahore Lions, the first Pakistan team to make it to the main draw of the Champions League T20, batting first against Kolkata Knight Riders set the target of 152 runs, ARY News reported.

Openers of Lahore Lions, Nasir Jamshed and Ahmed Shahzad after being sent in to bat by Knight riders, posted a 50-run partnership.

Ahmed Shahzad scored 59 off 42 balls hitting 5 fours and 4 sixes while Jamshed made 10.

Spinners of Knight Riders took the control back from Lion taking four qucik wickets leaving them 6 down for 103.

Lion’s middle order failed to perform as Skipper Mohammad Hafeez scored 9, Saad Nasim 0, Umar Sadiq 2 and Asif Raza 0 only.

Umar Akmal (40) and Wahab Riaz 14 have done the repair work allowing Lions to score 151-7.

Sunil Narine bowled exceptionally well and took 3-wickets conceeding 9 runs in 4-over spell.
