CM announces Rs10m for safe recovery of Owais Shah

KARACHI: Chief Minister Sindh Syed Qaim Ali Shah on Thursday announced Rs10 million reward for safe recovery of the lawyer son of the Sindh High Court’s chief justice, Owais Ali Shah, or the arrest of his kidnappers, ARY News reported.

“The Rangers should step up ongoing targeted action in Karachi and make it more effective,” he said in a meeting with Director General Pakistan Rangers Sindh Major General Bilal Akbar in Karachi.

They discussed recent terrorism incidents particularly the murder of renowned Sufi musician Amjad Sabri in the megapolis.

The DG Rangers briefed the chief minister about decisions taken at a recent meeting at Rangers headquarters.

Meanwhile, IG Sindh Police A.D Khawaja has constituted a team headed by SSP Central Karachi Muqaddas Haider to investigate into the murder of Amjad Sabri.
